W2 Spreadsheet Lab

The value of this spreadsheet would be the ability to determine the annual cost of obtaining those five items of software and hardware which could be useful during the budgeting process. Each item listed in the spreadsheet would enable an organization to effectively and efficiently complete work tasks remotely on a mobile device. Using this SaaS would allow users from various locations to add, delete or change any things in order to complete the spreadsheet. Also, a person could start the spreadsheet while at home, save it, and then reopen it from work in the morning since it is accessible through their browser.


In order to complete this project, the following steps were taken:

Step 1 – Read chapter2 in the textbook on Hardware and Software
Step 2 – Chose 5 different types of hardware and software to research
Step 3 – Conducted internet research on each item
Step 4 – Used the research to write a summary on each hardware and software type, using references when necessary
Step 5 – Picked specific examples for each type of hardware and software and did research on each one (obtained information such as what the product was capable of, its features and pricing)
Step 6 – Wrote a summary on each specific item
Step 7 – Created a Zoho account and began a new sheet for the second part of the assignment
Step 8 – Created a spreadsheet based on coming up with an annual cost for each item of hardware and software that was described in the first part of the assignment using the pricing information obtained in Step 5
Step 9 – Saved the spreadsheet and then embedded my spreadsheet in my blog as instructed in the assignment directions
Step 10 – Wrote this part of the assignment and pasted in the url of my published spreadsheet
